Head of Sales

Phoam Labs is a US-based company currently launching in the UK. Our patented foam technology was developed in partnership with researchers at the University of Minnesota, with engineering and operations headquartered in Minneapolis and manufacturing based in Europe.

We make the world's first compostable floral and display foam — plant-based, petrochemical-free, and TÜV certified. We're a small, fast-moving team building something genuinely new in a market that's ready for change. We're looking for a commercially sharp Head of Sales — ideally with roots in the floral or horticultural industry — to own and grow our channels as we scale.

The role

You'll drive revenue across our primary channels: wholesale and trade accounts in the UK and beyond, and direct-to-consumer via Amazon. You'll own relationships, pipeline, and performance — and you'll work closely with the founder and wider team to shape how we take the product to market.

This is a hands-on role that goes beyond traditional sales. You'll be involved in the day-to-day commercial operations of the business — from managing agency relationships and monitoring inventory to supporting logistics and ensuring strong sell-through across channels. As an early-stage business, if you thrive in a varied, operational environment, you'll fit right in.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and developing wholesale accounts with distributors, retailers and trade buyers
  • Partnering with and managing our D2C Amazon agency — overseeing listings, pricing, promotions and channel performance
  • Identifying and pursuing new stockist and distribution opportunities, starting in the UK and expanding into Europe and beyond
  • Owning the sales pipeline from first contact through to close
  • Supporting inventory management, logistics coordination and sell-through performance across channels
  • Representing Phoam Labs with key industry organisations, trade bodies and associations to build profile and open doors
  • Attending trade shows, flower festivals and industry events as a brand representative
  • Supporting marketing activity — trade materials, product launches and campaign coordination
  • Feeding market and competitor intelligence back into product and channel strategy

What we're looking for

  • Experience in the floral or horticultural wholesale industry is strongly desirable
  • Proven track record in B2B or trade sales through retail or wholesale channels
  • Existing relationships with industry buyers, distributors or trade bodies is a strong advantage
  • Experience managing third-party agency relationships and driving performance accountability
  • Experience with inventory management, logistics or supply chain in a commercial context
  • Comfortable navigating Amazon Seller Central, or a fast learner
  • A self-starter who can work independently, prioritise well, and manage their own pipeline
  • Strong communicator — clear, direct and approachable
  • Interest in sustainability is a bonus; integrity around it is a must


The details

  • Full-time
  • Preferably London-based, but flexible and remote-friendly with travel to meet buyers and attend trade shows
  • Salary dependent on experience, with an equity opportunity for the right candidate.
